Oak tree guard of honor


A SYMBOLIC GUARD OF HONOR IS FORMED BY 40 OAKS, PLANTED BY THE BELOW MENTIONED LATVIAN MUNICIPALITIES IN COLLABORATION WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF LATVIA’S POLITICALLY REPRESSED.

 

These oaks honor the memory of the politically repressed residents of these municipalities:

Amata, Aizkraukle, Aizpute, Aknīste, Alūksne, Ape, Ādaži, Babīte, Baldone, Balvi, Bauska, Beverīna, Brocēni, Carnikava, Dagda, Daugavpils, Dobele, Cēsis, Gulbene, Iecava, Ikšķile, Inčukalns, Jaunpils, Jaunpiebalga, Jelgava state, Jelgava city, Jēkabpils, Jūrmala city, Koknese, Krāslava, Krustpils, Kuldīga, Ķegums, Ķekava, Liepāja, Lielvārde, Limbaži, Līgatne, Madona, Mālpils, Mārupe, Nereta, Ogre, Olaine, Ozolnieki, Pāvilosta, Pārgauja, Pļaviņas, Preiļi, Priekuļi, Rauna, Rēzekne, Rīga, Roja, Ropaži, Rucava, Rugāji, Rūjiena, Salas, Salaspils, Saldus, Smiltene, Stopiņi, Strenči, Talsi, Tērvete, Tukums, Valka, Valmiera, Vecumnieki and Vecpiebalga.
